Our Story

AgriCureX was founded in response to a perfect storm reshaping how the world produces food: rising global demand for animal protein, more intensive farming systems, climate extremes, and growing antimicrobial resistance on farms.

In modern feedlots, Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) alone accounts for the majority of sickness and deaths in cattle, driving heavy antibiotic use and significant losses for producers. Our first flagship program tackles BRD head‑on, but our ambition has always been broader than a single disease or species.

AgriCureX is a biotech company built by people who grew up around farms and rural communities, and who understand the realities behind the data: long days, tight margins, sick animals, and the emotional toll when things go wrong. We are driven to build tools that work in real feedlots, dairies, barns and aquaculture pens – solutions that fit into busy production systems, respect animal welfare, and help keep family businesses and regional communities resilient in a changing climate.

Starting from BRD, we are building a precision antimicrobial platform that combines bacteriophages, genomics, AI and phage biobanking to develop targeted alternatives to antibiotics across livestock, aquaculture, dairy, equine, poultry and companion‑animal health. Our mission is to reduce antibiotic use while safeguarding productivity, sustainability and animal welfare, i.e., helping producers manage disease risk, protect export markets and deliver safer food, so that healthier herds and flocks contribute to a healthier planet and stronger rural communities.

We are tackling Antimicrobial Resistance at its source and leading a global shift toward sustainable livestock management.
