AgriCureX today announced that it has secured investment from the University of Sydney Pre‑Seed Fund to advance a new collaborative project with ARC Industry Fellow Dr Syamak Farajikhah, strengthening Australia’s translational genomics and livestock‑health innovation pipeline.
The investment is intended to accelerate joint work between AgriCureX and Dr Farjikhah focused on applying advanced genomics, bioinformatics and molecular biotechnology to high‑impact challenges in commercial livestock systems. The collaboration integrates AgriCureX’s emerging platform for genomics‑enabled biologics with Dr Farjikhah’s expertise in electrochemistry and data‑driven biotechnology.
AgriCureX Co‑Founders Belinda Vasallo (CEO), Professor Ruby Lin and Professor Jon Iredell said the University of Sydney’s support reflects growing national momentum behind sovereign capability in animal‑health innovation and next‑generation biotechnology.

This investment marks a significant milestone in AgriCureX’s 2026 development pathway, complementing its MLA co‑investment and expanding portfolio of national collaborations in genomics, AMR mitigation and agricultural biotechnology.
